Two days ago, I went to MEPS to finnish everything up and get my job. I got there around 0800(8am), and left around 1800(6pm). I had gone to the liaison office to figure out what I had left to do, before I could get my contract, I was sent back and forth between the liaison office and the front desk, as they were confused about whether or not I needed a medical inspect first, even though my recruiter took me at 0800 instead of 0500 because we were told I didn't need one. I was then sent back to the liaison office once again and they told me that I did need an inspect, they sat me down to wait for another hour or two, and then they finally called me again, and handed me a few papers and sent me to go get my fingerprints done and to get my contract anyway.
I waited for a few minutes and someone came to do my contract, about half of the way through, it said that I was invalid, and that I needed my inspect(So disorganized, I swear). He then had me go wash my hands and had me wait for someone to do my fingerprints, the lady finally came, she kept pressing down on my fingers while I was completely relaxed. The scans came out bad, and then she told me to stop pushing down and to just relax my finger, after she finished my fingerprints she decided to go OCD, and that I had to redo some of them because they weren't perfect. She finally finished up with my fingerprints and I was sent out to the front desk again.
I told them I had finished my fingerprints, and that I needed to go do my inspect, they couldn't find my folder and had to go look for it, after they found it, they sent me to go sit down and wait for the full-physicals to be done, and then I could go in and do my inspect. I was told they'd probably be done by 1300(In about half an hour), but I ended up waiting for about four hours till about 1600 instead. They finally called for the medical inspects to go to the medical office, and I went, and everything after that pretty much went a lot more efficiently. I got out, went back to the front desk, went back to the fingerprint room and got my contract finished. I was then told to go back to the front desk and show that I was done, they then told me to sit down and wait again for just a little while to go swear in, and then I'd be done.
I waited maybe about no more than an hour and then we were called in, I swore in and singed one last paper, and then I had to go back to the liaison office, they congratulated me, handed me a Navy backpack full of stuff and said "Welcome to the Navy, good job." They shook my hand and and then another recruiter was called and I waited for a few minutes for him to come pick me up. He got me, took me back to the recruiting station, I was congratulated again, and then my recruiter took me home after packing up and closing the office.

I am now an E2 in the Navy, I'll be shipping out on the 27th of January for bootcamp, and my MoS training, and my job is Avionics(Aviation Electronics). Wish me luck. x3


Oh, and on another note... I have a fiance now! I've known him for six years of my life now, I've been with him for about a year now.... I proposed to him on July 26th 2009, and I'm so happy with him!
